Ebb and Flow parts I and II are a pair of watercolour and ink paintings. I was inspired by the constant movement of the sea and the ever-changing coastal landscape around where I swim every day.
The tones of the sky and the shades of cloud and water can change from minute to minute . I wanted to suggest this in the paintings and portray it as I see it in my mind’s eye.
My process evolves through sketches, photography and found objects which act as an aide memoire when I start to work on a new piece.
