Join me for a vibrant, hands-on Spring Blossoms Watercolor Art Workshop—an inspiring celebration of spring florals and the fresh energy of the new year and new season to come. Whether you’re new to watercolour or looking to brush up on your skills, this workshop will guide you step by step through painting delicate blooms, lush greenery, and everything in between.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to start your artistic journey—or simply want to refine your watercolour skills—this workshop is for you. We’ll capture the first of the spring blooms and vibrant colours at a creative watercolour art workshop in my home at Glydewood, Castlebellingham.

Inspired by the seasonal flora of spring, we will have lots of fresh blooms for everyone to respond to, feel and observe for inspiration. We will work on a loose floral watercolour art piece of ‘Spring Blooms.’ Explore a variety of springtime flowers and blossoms, and capture their soft petals and graceful shapes on paper.

To start we will do an overview of the fundamentals of watercolour painting, including paper quality, brush types and painting techniques and everything you need to get started. After practising some different techniques, We will do a step by step demonstration to get everyone started on their composition. I will take everyone through all the steps from composition, drawing, colour mixing and painting techniques. I will help participants to select a spring flower to paint, such as Tulips, Hyacinths and Primroses to name just a few….

This class is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to seasoned artists who just want be be in a creative space. A perfect start to the new year or simply taking some time out. Book your place.

Caoimhe O’Dwyer is an award winning designer and an honours graduate of Ireland’s National College of Art and Design (NCAD). After studying fine art and design Caoimhe specialised in fashion design while completing her B. Des. She has studied in the Acadamia Koefia Di Alta Moda in Rome and has worked with acclaimed international designers in New York and Paris and Rome.
Caoimhe won the international Mittelmoda fashion award in 2004, which led to a commission as consultant to La Perla in Bologna, Italy in 2005. She established the Caoimhe O’Dwyer fashion label from her studios in Malahide, Co Dublin before moving to Castlebellingham with her family in 2008.
