During this summer camp children will learn and have fun in a creative environment with Fashion Designer and Artist Caoimhe O’Dwyer. Activities include garment design, learning to cut and sew a garment with a sewing machine, t-shirt designing, creating a mood board and fashion illustration. This year’s theme is ‘Art & Fashion inspired by Nature’. Nature has long influenced fashion through aesthetics with designers using colours, textures and patterns inspired by landscapes, animals and florals and the elements. To play our part in sustainability we will focus on using natural materials and textiles such as cotton and highlighting the importance of slow fashion and upcyclying.  This summer camp is all about being creative, nurturing new skills and connecting with other budding creatives. We always have a mixture of levels so don’t worry if you don’t have lots of sewing experience. This is the perfect camp for children who love art, fashion and being creative. All levels are welcome. Children will need to bring 1 meter of cotton fabric of their choice for the sewing project and a sewing machine if they have one. Class sewing machines are limited and need to be pre booked. All other materials will be provided. A fun-filled week of art, design and creativity for any child with a creative flair. We always have a mixture of levels so don’t worry if you don’t have lots of sewing experience.
